The India Meteorological Department (IMD) have issued red alert in Karnataka
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) have issued red alert in Karnataka. Due to heavy rainfall, IMD has issued a red alert in several districts in Karnataka since the beginning of this week. District includes Udupi, Dakshina Kannada, Uttara Kannada, Chickamagaluru, Shivamogga, Kodagu and Hassan.
“Red alert has been announced in Udupi, Dakshina Kannada, Uttara Kannada, Chickamagaluru, Shivamogga, Kodagu and Hassan, due to heavy rainfall in the region from last two-three days,” said by CS Patil, Director, IMD Bengaluru.
As the state is been affected by heavy rain state government has announced financial assistance to families affected.
