Children below 5 Years should not be required to wear mask Govt
India The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) has said children aged five years and under should not be required to wear masks. It also added children aged 6-11 years may wear a mask depending upon their ability to use the mask safely and appropriately under the direct supervision of parent/guardians. These guidelines for the management of COVID-19 in children were issued on Wednesday.
These guidelines also recommend against using the antiviral drug Remdesivir in children below 18 years of age, as well as a "rational use" of HRCT imaging among children in this age group.
