Sanjay Dutt Hospitalised tested negative for COVID-19
Sanjay Dutt the Bollywood actor has been admitted to ICU and is stable on Saturday evening in Lilavati Hospital. As a result of low oxygen saturation level and chest discomfort he was admitted to hospital and the COVID-19 test was taken.
Sanjay Dutt who is 61-year-old underwent a rapid antigen test for COVID-19 and found negative in the report, doctors said. RT-PCR test was also conducted on Saturday and the result was negative for coronavirus.
His doctor Jalil Parkar, who had recovered from COVID-19 last month, said few more tests are being taken and awaiting the result to check why his oxygen level had dipped.
The Chief Operating Officer Dr V Ravishankar said in a statement "He is stable".
Sanjay Dutt celebrated his birthday last week on July 29, later tweeted "Just wanted to assure everyone that I'm doing well. I'm currently under medical observation & my COVID-19 report is negative. With the help & care of the doctors, nurses & staff at Lilavati hospital, I should be home in a day or two. Thank you for your well wishes & blessings".
